Question: Braces Questions (pain, color, etc)!.
I'm getting braces tomorrow and I'm really nervous!. Putting the spacers in took double the time the orthodontist estimated (because my teeth are so close together) and I'm worried that tomorrow will hurt!.
My question is, what is the best pain reliever to take for tomorrow and though I know I'll only be able to eat soft foods, will I be able to talk without too much pain!? I have a meeting for a few hours tomorrow and the day after that that I don't want to miss!.
Also, any suggestions on what color i should get!. I'm almost 17, I'm african American and I have short dark hair!. I know that I shouldn't get white, yellow, green, or black but should I just stick with silver or should I choose something else!. I already feel like I'm too old for braces so I don't want a color that makes me feel like a kid!. Any suggestions!?

Ok, first of all you aren't too old for braces!. I was about 21 when I got my braces!. To start off with you can go with the silver color until you get used to having braces!. I had braces for 8 months before I was brave enough to try colors!. Once I went to colors I loved it! My favorite was the navy blue color!.
As far as pain goes!.!.!.!.take 2 Advil before EVERY appointment!. You will be able to talk after your appointment, no worries there!.

I took 2 advils before I got mine on!. When you get them on put dental wax on the four metal molar bands, because the sides of my tounges scraped against it, and it hurts to swallow and sometimes talk!. They also get VERY sore the day after as well, but nothing that pain killers can't take care of!. I think you should stick with clear as a color choice, but you have to take SUPER EXTRA CARE of them because if you don't brush & floss carefully, they will become almost a dirty yellow!. Aleve or Advil!!!! Both have worked for me so far today and I just got mine on too!. Talking shouldn't hurt especially with the pain relievers!

Your never too old for perfect teeth =) take ibropufen an hour before you get them on!. I said no colours and I like mineWww@Answer-Health@Com
