What causes a filling to stop hurting?!

Question: What causes a filling to stop hurting!?
I have a very large filling in one of my teeth, and for a few years, it was very sensitive to cold and hot foods and drinks!. I recently had some sort of infection (the doctors could not tell if it was in my gums or ear), and while and after I had the infection, the filling was no longer sensitive to hot and cold!. Why is this!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
You might have decay under the filling that is causing an infection in the root!. If you took antibiotics for your other problem it might have tackled the infection under the filling causing the tooth to be less sensitive!. You might mention it to your dentist at your next check up!.It's better to get it taken care of now before you need a root canal and crown!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the only thing i could guess is that the two things are unrelated and just happened to occur at around the same!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
