Question: IS IT OK TO TAKE IBUPROFEN(800mg) AND AMOXICILLIN(500mg) RIGHT BEFORE A ROOT CANAL!?

It certainly is!
Amoxicillin (500mg) - usually in form called 'cilamox' or something close to that spelling, I've had it many many times but I never pay that much attention to the spelling hehe,
is what a dentist will perscribe for a dental - either periapical or periodontal abscess!.
If there's an infected, serious abscess, they need to try and reduce the size of an abscess before they begin treatment (although they may prefer if it's an emergency case to extract the tooth - or root canal the tooth even after a single day of taking antibiotics- but of course, you must finish the course even if the tooth has been fixed, or extracted)!.
Did your dentist provide you with a script for the antibiotics (amoxcillin 500mg) because it's vitally important that you dont' take it unless perscribed!.
As for the ibuprofen- is it a over the counter pain relief like Neurofen or Herron!?
If so, that's fine - abscesses can be extremley painful- let alone a single cavity that's exposing a root or nerve of the tooth, over the counter pain killers (or perscribed pain killers if you've seen your dentist and they've given them to you via a script) are more than okay to take before a simple procedure like Root Canal!.
Root canal will be effective in the pain relief of an abscess once it's finished, but you may want to keep taking those pain killers (ibuprofen) after the anesthetic (local) wears off for possibly the frist 24-48 hours (depending on the person)!.
If you're worried ask yoru dentist, but if they perscribed it, there's no need to worry!. Dentists know what they're doing, as a doctor would (if you went to see a doctor - GP before seeing a dentist)!. The reason for root canal is that an abscess is at the root of the tooth, and remember an abscess is an infection!. An infection which can rapidly get worse and alot more serious before you realise it, so anitbiotics are essential to killing off that infection completely (even after root canals been performed you MUST continue till antibiotics course is finished)!. it would be best to talk to the dentist before taking anything, there is also a questionnaire that will inquire as to any medications that you have taken recently!. this can be important because of possible counter actions to any anesthetics administered for a surgery!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I don't think you need to take amoxicillin just take ibuprofen and it should be fine, otherwise you feel drowsyWww@Answer-Health@Com
