basically you just slide them onto your teeth according to the package and wait for about 10-15 minutes!. usually after, i would brush my teeth because of the "slime!."
for a 14 year old, it all depends!. many times the gums can become very irritated and sensitive!. that happened with me and it was a bit painful for a few days!. it can go both ways, it really all depends on the person!.
