You have TMJ- temporomandibular joint problems!. You are placing excessive stress on the joint and wearing the joint out!. Sometimes it can be corrected with a mouth guard ( a clear plastic tray) worn while you sleep!. Sometimes braces can correct your bite to correct the problem!. Sometimes you need to have surgery to have it corrected!. Go and see an orthodontist to see if braces or the night guard will work!. If not, he will refer you to an oral surgeon!. Good luck!. well, I would require you to use braces!. Or a retainer!. as they say, braces hurt a lot!. I have braces and it just hurt me only for a few days when it was my first time wearing it!. Maybe 2 days!. And don't worry, your hurting jaw would not lead to arthritis!. it just hurts because you maybe accidentally bite on it all the time, just like me!. but when I wore braces, there came a big change on the way i bite!. so why not wear braces!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It won't lead to arthritis!.

And you actually need to see a dentist about this!. It's a very common problem-it's to do with your jaw kind of clicking out of place and is sometimes down to grinding your teeth at night!.

In most cases, your dentist will recommend splints to be worn at night; in rare cases surgery may be necessary!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

hey i feel your pain i have the same problem! I'm a little older than you and have braces so it might be from that or any type of retainer u might have
what i recommend is first to see your dentist and also to not chew things that are chewy such as gummy candy, gum (which is super hard for me), and carmel etc!.

Go to the orthodontist if you have braces or any kind of thing from them!. If not, just go to the dentist!.
