I have a small gap in my enamel at the top of one of my upper back teeth, At first I thought it was just the receding gumline, but after poking at it with my tongue for a while its become sensitive to touch and brushing!. It is not brown (as far as I can tell),so I'm not sure if its a cavity!. and exposed nerve tissue, or root rot!. Does anyone have any idea what this may be!? And if there's anything I can do!? I can currently brushing with sensodine pronamel and chewing trident gum!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi there, sounds like you need to change your brushing technique!. By brushing too hard you can cause receding gums and what is called toothbrush abrasion!. Brush softly, in a circular motion!. This area will be sensitive because this area of your tooth is not intended to be exposed!. Usually it will heal and the sensitivity will decrease as it does!. I would definitely make an appointment to see your dentist soon so that he can evaluate it!. Unfortunately what sounds like one thing can be something different altogether, and you certainly want to be able to nip it in the bud if it is something that requires treatment!. Good Luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

go to the dentist and they will tell you what you can do about itWww@Answer-Health@Com
