I've had a root canal!. Granted, it's not as much fun as a day at the amusement park, but it's really not as bad as people make it out to be!.

Extraction!? Sure, you could do it, but if you can save it, why not keep all your original equipment!? Why walk around with a big gap in your mouth!? Go with the root canal!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had a root canal filling, and it created an infection!. I had to have the extraction anyway!

The extraction hurt more then the filling, but after an ice pack and some painkillers i felt fine and had no more soreness or pain!.

The filling i had previously was indeed very sore and i continued to suffer with toothache due to the infection!.

The only problem with having the tooth removed, is the gap!. However, you can have a fake replacement tooth put in!.

You should never choose extraction unless you have no other option!. A root canal will save what is left of your tooth and remove the infected roots!. It IS painful, but no more than a filling, and no more traumatic!. I recommend you get the root canal!. If you get the tooth removed, then it can affect your other teeth (ie!. they can move) and if you wanted to them get the gap filled, it is extremely expensive to get a replacement one - (which, by the way, is attached into your gum by a metal rod)!!

Seriously - the root canal!. I've had a root canal done twice on the same tooth (because one of the roots could not be extracted, and it became infected again)!. If it flares up again I have to get it extracted, but I hope it won't come to that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you are better off having the extraction!. i was in the same situation a couple of years ago, my dentist gave me the option of root canal or extraction but she told me that i was better off with the extraction because root canals don't last very long and the tooth would have to come out eventually anyway!.
if its a tooth at the back (like mine) then just have it taken out, and you won't have to worry about it anymore, good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

EVEN WITH A ROOT CANAL IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO COMPLETELY ELIMINATE 100% OF ALL THE BACTERIA WHICH MAY BE FOUND IN A TOOTH!. YOU CAN BE LUCKY AND KEEP A TOOTH AFTER A ROOT CANAL FOR SOME TIME HOWEVER, EXTRACTION ELIMINATES 100% OF ALL BACTERIA!. ALSO, YOU NEED TO GET A CROWN FOR THE ROOT CANAL-ED TOOTH, AS ITS PRONE TO FRACTURE DUE TO DEHYDRATION!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

A root canal doesnt hurt!. You have an injection first!. That hurts a bit!. You will have to have a crown fitted because it does weaken the tooth!.

Dont have it out!. There is no need!. A root canal is not as bad as people make out!. It really doesnt hurt,Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had a root canal filling but after a few months the tooth started to crumble away anyway! It`s up to you though because it`s your teeth!. Maybe it would be an idea to ask your dentist a little more about your options and what they thought was best!. x Www@Answer-Health@Com

Root Canal's are not painfull!. They just feel like a filling but longer!. I would suggest doing this as saving the tooth is better than taking it out!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Root canal of course, extraction remind me of mutilation , think about it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think it is best to keep your teeth if possible!. I found root canal work mildly painful, but I kept a few knashers!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

root canal anyday!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have had both done, and the Root canal was far less painful than extraction!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Root canal!. If the dentist can save your tooth let him/her do so!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
