Tooth whitening burned my gums.. now what??!

Question: Tooth whitening burned my gums!.!. now what!?!?
I treated myself to a good, at-home tooth-whitening kit!. However, once I put the trays in, I felt the very tips of my gums start to tingle, then burn, and then it felt like acid was bubbling away at them!. I tore the trays out, and ran to the bathroom to rinse out my mouth, and now the edges of my gums are burned bright white!. I put the trays in again and now it's fine, but what has this done to my gums!? Will the whiteness go away!? I can't go to work tomorrow with white stained gums!.!.!. it looks like I've got food stuck all over them, or some sort of disease!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Do nothing!.!.it is a small chemical burn and will heal quickly!.!.!.try to keep the trays from touching your gums!.!.!.
the bleaching material is ok for teeth but too harsh on the gum tissue!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My advice book an appointment with your dentist tomorrow!.Remove the bleaching trays and don't use them!.It sounds like you have had some sort of allergic reaction and it`s not wise to continue using them!.Buying cheap bleaching kits is not a good idea, take the kit to your dentist to show what you used!.!.!.!.!.!.good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Oww

Have you tried calling the complaint line on the back of the box!? If you can't find an immediate solution just try not to open your mouth much and if anyone notices explain what happened and laugh it off!.!.!.

You could rinse you mouth in olive oil as it might help the skin!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

i have had a smiliar problem!. i dont think you actually burned your gums, i think the whitening product is on your gums!. i have tried so many at home whitening kits and the whitening stuff always sticks to my gums!. if you brush them it will go away!. it takes a few brushes and a few days though!. before you rush to the dentist, i would brush your teeth and not use the whitening kit for a week at least!. once you are ready to try again, wait another week!. in that week, use a tooth paste for sensitive teeth!. they carry it at all major stores!. targe, wal*mart, etc!. its about the same price as regular toothpaste!. use that for a week or 10 days!. then use the whitening stuff you bought!. you may want to try a different kind!. use crest or QVC!.com has a great kind!. if it still burns your gums and stings your teeth, whitening probably isnt for you!. i would go to a professional for whitening after that!. good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
