Question: With braces, over time as your teeth get straighter, does food get less stuck in them !?
I'm just hoping because I am getting soooo much food stuck in my braces that sometimes I just don't eat because I know that I'll spend the next hour in front of the mirror getting it all out!. Swishing with water only gets some bits out, not everything!. My teeth are really crooked right now, do you think after they get a bit straighter, less food will get caught !? Or is it just wishful thinking !? Www@Answer-Health@Com

Wishful thinking!. You'll get better at picking out those irritating bits of food with your tongue and whatnot though!. You won't have to spend an hour in front of the mirror anymore as time goes by and you get accustomed to the braces!. =)Www@Answer-Health@Com
well i have braces and my teeth were really crooked also!. but now that they are practically straight it is easier to chew you will really notice it!.!.!. but yer food gets stuck in every ones braces its just the brackets and the wires that are catching food as they chew!. i have the same problem everything gets stuck and its hard to get out so i eat once i get home from school to save embarrassment of stuff getting caught in my braces then having every one watch you try to get it out with a mirror!. so yer i like to eat in private or around my family because i dont mind as much!.!.!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
Wishful thinking im sorry- and if you are like me and have gaps between your teeth you will be like me and find its worse when the gaps close up because the food is even harder to get out! very frustrating!.
I found that the wee brushes that the orthodontists give (the ones that look like cleaning brushes) were really good to get the food out of the braces thoughWww@Answer-Health@Com

sorry to say but its just wishful thinking!. !. !. !. u might get less depending on the type of brackets and wires u have in so maybe it might get better but not by that muchWww@Answer-Health@Com

well i had braces and food still got caught in it like a few months before i got them off, it all depends on what you eat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
