Where did my gums go? Help!?!

Question: Where did my gums go!? Help!!?
The gum above my second tooth from the back (only one tooth on one side) has receded so much so that it's as if someone cut out a chunk of my gum!. It also seems to be a little puffier (hard, but puffy) than the same area on the other side!. I doubt it's due to bad oral hygiene, because while I don't floss often, I do brush every day!. In fact, I get compliments all the time on how white and "perfect" my teeth are!. Could it be I've brushed my gums too hard!? Is there another reason!?
Thanks for the help!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
yes, brushing your teeth too hard can result in pretty looking teeth that are white, but no gums!.
you need to floss tho!. because no flossing (even every once and a while) can lead to gingivitis and other gum diseases!. if you floss you don't have to brush as hard either because it gets rid of alot of food and plaque (more than you think)

so an extra 1 min of flossing vs!. receding gums and weird colors!.

i'd go for flossing!.

get softer bristles, or just brush lighter!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

How old are you!?!?

If you don't already have all your adult teeth, it's new molars coming in!. Happened to me too!. Eventually those sections will fall off, and it's going to feel very very strange!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
