Will a fixed brace affect me playing a brass instrument?!

Question: Will a fixed brace affect me playing a brass instrument!?
I am 13 years old and I have been playing brass for over a year and I currently play baritone horn!.

I have just been told that I will have to have fixed braces for 2 years because my upper jaw is too far forward in comparrison to my lower jaw!.

I want to know If it will be possible to carry on playing the instrument because I love playing brass!

Thanks =)Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you are a baritone player you will notice your ombrochure changes slightly as your get used to playing with your braces!.

I used to play cornet, then I had to have braces and I found it quite difficult to play, however, I switched to tenor horn and found it easier

Your brass teacher might be able to show you some different techniques for playing or if you are in a brass band, ask one of the other players or the conductor to see if they have any tips for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i don't understand what you mean by 'fixed' brace!.
but if you mean braces, yes you can play!. it will hurt for maybe a week or two, but yes you can play!. my friend played the sax both braces and no braces, still sounds good :)

it'll hurt for a while, just play little amounts every once and a while for the first couple weeks!. it'll get better!. it takes some adjustments too because the lips will feel awkward with metal sticking to it when you blow into your instrument!.
