Expander??? When will I get used to eating and talking?!
Question: Expander!?!?!? When will I get used to eating and talking!?
I just got my expander in about 2 days ago!.!.!.like my braces they are hard to get used to haha!. But the problem is that I sound really weird when I talk, like I can't pronounce certain words, and also eating takes a really loooooong time!. So my question is, when will I get used to eating!? And also, will I stop talking funny!?

I had one for 3 months or so!. I couldn't eat at first or talk well!. You'll get used to eating after a week or so, but as far as talking I never really got used to it!. I started talking a little better after a long time, but it never got normal!. When you eat try to get your food over the top when you swallow and be careful with speghetti because it's easy to get choked on stuff like that!. Read magazines out loud, etc!. and you'll improve on your talking!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
My friend got an expander and she did talk very funny at first, and she couldn't eat at all!. Food would always get stuck in her expander and she couldn't swallow the food but it's been about 1-2 week(s) and shes fine now :)

Well i have an expander and trust me you'll get used to it in 1-3 weeks at first you will talk funny and it will be hard to eat but you should be fine soon! Good luck! Hope this helped you out ( : !!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
it took me about a week to get used to talking with one, and two weeks to get used to eating with one!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
