You should be able to eat normally after the first week or so!. On the first week or so though, you should eat only softer foods because you'll have a sore in your mouth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You cant eat caramel taffy, peanut brittle now and laters etc!. no soda, i usually had one a week and drank it through a straw to avoid as much contact with my braces as possible!. popcorn!. no gum! i lost so many brackets chewing gum and gummy bears! you should cut up apples and ice cubes! if you have a tendency to eat them dont! they also say stupid stuff like nuts pretzels ribs but i think thats dumb!. i never had a problem with them!.

but if you do have clear braces avoid stuff like mustard smoking and stuff that stains cause it will change them colors and it looks gross Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well my brother eats anything he wants, which, you can do if you take care of your teeth (floss, brush etc!.) but you should try to stay away from really hard food, and really sticky, like carmel or starburstWww@Answer-Health@Com

Well, i can still eat most foods they say u cant eat with braces without any problems!. except butterscotch and other chewy, sticky stuff like that!. also, when u eat popcorn, be careful not to get the cernals stuck!.:)Www@Answer-Health@Com

popcorn
tortilla chips
ice
whole fruit (cut into small pieces)

Sticky things:
taffy
gum
etc!.

Others:
fingernails
