Question: Im getting my braces off! is a removeable retainer the same as a permanent one!? !?
if not why!? if you get a removable one do they give you more than one or just one!? if you gat a permanent one do you still get your teeth tightend every month!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

no permanent and removeable retainers are not the same thing!. you don't get more than one pair of retainers unless you lose it or you want a spare but you would still have to pay extra!. i'm not really sure if you need to get your teeth tightened every month if you get permanent retainers but i doubt it!.
i have a removable retainer and it is really annoying because i have to brush it every night/morning!. and for the first year that i got retainers i had to wear it the whole day everyday for a year!. i've had removable retainers for about three-four years now and i only wear it at night!.
as for the permanent retainers, i would have preferred it but my mom, who is a dentist said that it would be easier for plague to get caught on it and would cause cavities!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you only get one removable retainer, you will wear it for most of the day/night (you're supposed to wear it more then 12 hours a day) and it will help hold the teeth in their new position!. it looks different and is easier to wear it, so there is no need to worry!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
