Question: If I get braces, will I be able to go to school the very next day!?
I'm getting braces on a Monday, and I have some important tests the rest of the week!. Do you think I will be able to go, or will the pain be too unbearable!? Is it possible to handle!? I have spacers right now, and they don't hurt at all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Keep a positive attitude, like you have right now and you will do much better!. You should be able to go to school the next day if you are aware and take precautions in advance!.
Use "only an Ibuprofen for dental inflammation and discomfort" such as Advil or Motrin, especially on the placement day, even if you don't think you need it!. You can take it now if you start to feel any discomfort from the spacers!. It will also help to continue using the Ibuprofen after placement and over the next day or two until you are more comfortable with your braces!. You will also find during your ortho treatment that Ibuprofen will help ease discomfort after your monthly adjustments!.
After your ortho placement, eat a soft and cold diet for a few days to help ease any discomfort "AND" to keep from creating additional soreness!. Don't go home and eat hard, chewy or crunchy foods or you will be sore the next day!.
You will do fine, a great attitude like you have right now helps tremendously!Www@Answer-Health@Com

The braces will hurt, probably a lot!. But if you have important tests the next day, then the braces shouldn't stop you from going to school!. Just take some Aspirin before school and eat soft foods like applesauce for lunch!. I had braces twice! I feel your pain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
if you take a lot of pain meds and bring extras along!. if you are fine with the spacers you should be great with the braces!. the spacers were the worst part of my treatment!.

i think i did, but it HURTS like crazzzzzy!. you'll want to make sure you take some pain medication!.

I thought the spacers where the worst part! lol You'll be fine!. Take some Ibuprofen if it worries you!. Don't let your braces get in the way of school! It's really not that bad!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
