Separators are annoying, but i wouldn't say it hurts, just feels like food is stuck in your teeth!. No the don't tighten the braces the same day you get them!! That's torture!! When you get your braces, go home and take Tylenol, even tho it doesn't hurt!. it'll hurt in a bit!. not much, but it's definitely annoying!! When they tighten your braces the first few times, it'll feel uncomfortable, but it does hurt as much as getting your braces on!. After the first few times, it'll feel weird for maybe!.!.!.5-10 minuets!. OH!! When getting your braces don't forget the chap-stick!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
Ok so i have braces and i have to tell you that they do hurt!. here's what i did when i got my braces!. I went to the store and i got this medicine to numb my mouth!. it really helps to stop the pain for a while!. The second that you get home from the dentist you have to take Tylenol or something to relieve the pain, even though it does hurt till about 4 hours after!. Make sure you have plenty of ice cream at home, or popsicles!. And soup!. You are going to have to eat soup and I!.C!. for 5 days at least!. You can put the numbing medicine on 4 times a day but i would recommend only 2 times!. It makes your mouth feel really weird!. And this is coming from a 13 year old!! Good luck and just t think of how great your teeth are going to look after the braces come off!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
