Question: Do Brackets Hurt!? Do Braces hurt!?
I recently asked a question about if I need brackets and most people said I will depending on how my teeth are!. I've seen a lot of people say on here that brackets and braces hurt!? Do they!? Please use details!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, honestly, yes, it hurts!. The pain will vary depending on how much your teeth need to move!. (Like if you have huge gaps, it will hurt more than a minor correction!.) I have full-mouth braces right now, and the pain went away after about a week!. You get used to it pretty fast!. But don't worry about it!. So many people (like me) get them, and they're all fine! When you do get them, these are helpful to have on hand:
-Soft foods: yogurt, applesauce, Nutri-Grain bars, etc!.
-Pain killers that work for you: Tylenol, Advil, etc!.
-Ways to keep your mind off of it: magazines, friends, etc!.
It's not THAT bad!.

Brackets themselves do not hurt - they simply scratch your gums and lips which can cause you to feel a little abnormal at first - but it usually dies down after a while!.
Braces, unfortunately, do hurt!. However, it is only the first couple of days after each check up (where they tighten all wires)!. You'll get used to it - just eat softer foods to avoid it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

They do but not when u put them on they may be sore for about a week or so put just take a motrin or a pain killer and you will be fine!. i have braces and i mean it does hurt im not going to lie but i think the worst part is the chaped lips lol but it does hurt to eat hard things though like meats so i suggest stick with like mashed potatos or mac and cheese lol hambergure meat isnt that hard to chew though but any way they do hurt but eventually u forget they are even thereWww@Answer-Health@Com
Well the brackets will feel weird when you first get your braces put on because your gums won't be used to having something rubbing against it!. They might be scraping your gums a little, so be sure to use wax to put on them!. (ask your orthodontist for some)

you might have slightly sore teeth for a couple of days, and getting them put on is a bit uncomfortable, but it isn't terrible!. you'll also get a bit of discomfort each time you get them tightened up!. buy some yoghurt to eat while your teeth are sore, it's easy to eat and soothing as well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
i had braces and they hurt especially the first day and after an appointment where they were tightened !. it isn't horrible just a little uncomfortable!. the orthodontist will give you wax so the braces do not cut the inside of your cheeks , use it!!.!.!. good luck Www@Answer-Health@Com
My top teeth were in pretty bad shape and the braces didnt hurt at all but then when i i got my bottom teeth( which were pretty straight) they killed!. i had to take 2 oxys to make the pain go away!. but i think the most painful were the spacers!. good luck!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
It doesn't hurt when they put them on, but after they are on, yes they are sore!.
Take tylenol before you go and eat before you go also, because it will hurt to eat!.
Your going to have to eat soft foods for about a week for so after!.

im really not sure if they hurt!.
but im getting braces next week!.
and my sister had braces and she said that the only time that it hurt was when she had to get them tightened!.!.!.
but i guess the pain is different for different people

It depends on how crooked or under/over bited your teeth are!.
I just have crooked teeth, and got braces yesterday!.
They don't hurt that much!.
But be prepared to miss chicken, rice, and popcorn the first three weeks :[Www@Answer-Health@Com
