My teeth aren't straight enough but my braces are being taken off tomorrow??!

Question: My teeth aren't straight enough but my braces are being taken off tomorrow!?!?!?!?!?
I dont know what to do!. Last year in Feb 2007, I got my braces, and my teeth were awful, they were so mangled and snaggletoothed!. But I've had them on a year and a half now, and theyre a lot straighter, my teeth are great now!. But I don't think theyre straight enough, I have a tiny gap in my front teeth because they haven't been tightened in a month, and I just feel as if some of them could be a lot straighter than they are now!. But theyre being taken off tomorrow, I'm excited and eager to see what my teeth are like now, but I'm scared that when I look in the mirror, it won't be as great as I expected!. I know you get give a retainer and that gets tightened, but Im really scared!. What can I do!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

Due to the inheritance of my father's mouth and my mother's teeth, I wore braces from age 14 to 17!. I am not sure thatmy teeth would have straightened much in a year and a half period!.

I think they look at your maturity level, as to how much more your mouth will change after they remove the braces!. If you are finished growing and if they have tightened the braces enough to pull them into place, you should be ok!.

If that has not worked, they may need to start over!. Perhaps they will need to do another setting!. Perhaps this had to be done in two steps!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

when i was having my braces off i thought maybe they could be a little straighter but when they take them off they look really differant because you only see half a tooth with braces so your teeth are probably straighter than you think they are
because if you look in the mirror everyday to clean your teeth you arn`t going to notice them looking any straighter!.
they show you what your teeth looked like before you had braces and then you notice the differance

Tell the orthodontist how you feel about your teeth, and he may decide to extend your time with braces on!. If not, this may be the most braces can do to help your teeth!. I hope you love your smile afterwards!!
