How painful is wisdom teeth removal?!
Question: How painful is wisdom teeth removal!?
I'm currently 38 weeks pregnant and my dentist said he will remove all 4 of my wisdom teeth right after I deliver!. He also said the 2 top are pressing against the molars next to them!. All of them have broken through the gums already!. So my question is how painful will it be to get them all removed!.!.!.I've never had any kind of surgery!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Anyway, from what I've heard, you are drugged up nicely before the surgery, it's after the surgery that is sore and I'm sure you'll have some pain meds for that!.
I wouldn't stress too much, but I do wish you the best of luck!. A sore mouth and a brand new baby isn't going to be peaches 'n cream!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If they are through the gums they should not hurt that bad!. Mine were under the gums and I was in pain for about 2 days and swollen for about 2 weeks (very little swelling, but some)!. However I disagree that you should have them removed right after giving birth only because you will not feel well for a few days and a crying baby will really stress you out and possible slow your healing!. Are you breastfeeding!? Don't plan on it becuase you will be needing those painkillers your dentist is going to give you!. If you can, try to delay this procedure for a few months so that you can heal from childbirth!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I add all four mine pulled at once when I was 18!. It was two nights in the hospital, they did the surgery first thing in the morning after overnight in the hospital!. The next afternoon they sent me home!. My mouth and jaw ached and were extremely swollen!. It was liquids and ice cream (yogurt, etc) for a couple days!. By the end of the week, except for the stitches at the back of my mouth where the teeth were, you'd never know I had surgery!. A week or so later, the dentist pulled the stitches!.

Well that depends on how they drug you up and how the teeth are in there!. Will they need to do oral surgery or just a pull!? The less invasive, the less painful!. The process itself isn't as painful as the healing time, but they should prescribe a pain medication for that!. Plus, after child birth, having your teeth pulled will seem like a vacation!. :) Good luck (and congratulations!)

It's not that bad!. I was knocked out completely during surgery and they gave me good pain killers afterwards!. So the worst part to me was not being able to eat anything but super soft foods for a few days!. Having a baby will be much more painful than all 4 wisdom teeth believe me!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
The removal is painless- they do a great job of putting you out!. It's the recovery that is rough!. I took a good 10 days before I was eating well!. They give you lots of pain meds!. I don't know if I would want to go through that with a newborn, though!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
the removal itself shouldn't be painful, and you'll probably get some decent painkillers!. but it might also be a good idea to stock the fridge with yoghurt and invest in a pack of straws (my mum recommends McDonalds milkshakes!)Www@Answer-Health@Com
I had all 4 done, 2 were impacted!. You sleep through it all, as long as you follow the directions and don't get dry-socket (ouch) its a breeze after childbirth!. But really its only a few days of discomfort and some Tylenol for pain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Sorry to tell you the truth but it's very painful!. Your going to be on bed rest for at least the first day and your mouth will be sour!. I would be making sure that you have somebody to watch over you and the baby for a few days,Www@Answer-Health@Com
They will numb you!. the shots are the worst part, while you are in the dentist office !. the after math kinda sucks got to be careful and not chew for about 3 days!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well it depends on how small your mouth is!.!. Because my sister's bf got them removed recently and he had terrible pain for about 2 days, couldn't even eat solids!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
well it depends on your tolerance for pain but i've had 5 teeth out before, one of which they didn't even numb before they pulled it out and i barley noticed itWww@Answer-Health@Com
I had it done w/ the laughing gas so I actually ENJOYED the procedure!. I was a little nauseous the next day thogh!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
