Wisdom Teeth - Stitches Dissolved Early?!

Question: Wisdom Teeth - Stitches Dissolved Early!?
I got my wisdom teeth out at about 3 pm on August 14!. One bottom and one top extraction sites have had their stitches dissolve, one early on August 19 and one late on August 19!. The stitches are supposed to dissolve in 7-10 days, but some of them were only in about four or five days!.

When I bite on gauze there is negligible bleeding!. However, the extraction site on the top with dissolved stitches is a big hole!. Should I worry about dry socket and the blood clot!? Would the hole be there anyway and how long will that take to go away!? Thank you!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
It is normal for the stitches to dissolve at varying times!. Some can dissolve in a few days and some may take weeks!. It is completely normal to have holes there!. It's supposed to be there!. I know it seems weird that if you have stitches that there would be holes there, but that's the way it really is!. I had four of mine removed almost three weeks ago, and I had stitches but could still see the holes!. You should not be biting on gauze!.!.!. leave the holes alone!. It will take care of itself!. If you just stop bothering it, you won't get a dry socket!. The blood clot should be fine!.!.!.only if it's bleeding like crazy that you have to worry about it coming out!. All the holes for your wisdom teeth will be there for maybe a couple months!. They take time to close up and heal!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just leave the hole alone!. Make sure you brush your teeth as per normal and use antiseptic gargle after food and before you sleep!. The hole is because of the healing socket and bone loss will start recovering only after 3 to 6 months post removal!. The stitches sometimes will dissolve early cos it will not only dissolve with blood but also saliva or fluids we took in!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Do not put anymore gauze in your mouth!. The hole will take 3-4 months to fully close up!. Bone takes a long time heal!. You are past the dry socket time frame!. You will not get a try socket from a upper extraction( extremely rare), only a lower!. You may still get a little seepage when you brush, that is normal!. Do you have a post op exam!? I did not get my wisdom teeth removed however, sometimes things happen give or take a few days, so I wouldn't worry about it dissolving early!.

If it doesn't heal up in a reasonable amount of time, you could always go back in, or just call your dentist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
