I had dental work yesterday, and I can't stop throwing up?? help :(?!

Question: I had dental work yesterday, and I can't stop throwing up!?!? help :(!?
I had 4 teeth worked on yesterday because I need to get some ortho work soon, and it was in preparation for that!. I always got my gums in the back cut down, and I think the doctor gave me 3, or 4 shots of Novocaine!. This morning I woke up weak, shakey, and hot!. The only medicine I was persrcibed was vicodin, but its just the weak one with 500mg of asprin (im sorry i don't know all the specific) the doctor also told me to take some advil to prevent swelling!. This morning I took one vicodin, a vitamin, and one advil!. After my nap I thought I just needed something in my stomach I took a sip of milk, and then started dry heaving in the sink!. A few minutes later I threw up yellow bile, with blood in it, and its happened 4 times!. IDK what to do because my husband is at school!. I'm really upset what do you think is wrong!? Answers:
Novocain often causes nausea and vomiting!. The blood was probably caused by the gums, which are extremely sensitive after surgery!. If you continue to be nauseous and vomit, or if you see blood again, call your dentist immediately! Actually, call anyway, just to be safe!. You could be having a reaction to the Novocain!. Call your husband too, if he has a cell phone!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Vicodin, or any opiate based painkiller, can make you vomit, especially considering the trauma and overall lousy condition you're already in!. I seriously doubt there's anything wrong with you, throwing up bile is common if you haven't eaten much and the blood in the sink was probably from your mouth not your stomach!.

Just try to relax and if at all possible get some extra sleep!. You're fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ok- you took Vicodin, codeine makes some people sick!. THEN that wasn't enough punishment you took an Advil, then to really give your stomach something to talk about you threw a vitamin into the mix!. I'm not surprised at all!. Do not take any of those on an empty stomach!. Even a vitamin will cause you to vomit on an empty stomach!. Eat some toast!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

something he gave you or you took up setted your stomach and is just throwing it back out!. a lot of times i get weak shaky and very cold!.!.!.!.!.that's a start of a fever!.!.!.!. maybe you have a fever!. check your temperature!. but don't let it get any worse!. if it gets worse or even stays the same go to the Doctor!. and after talk to your dentist about it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i would say go back to the dentist and tell them whats wrong!. and tell them you started to throw up after the visit!. if they cant do anything go to the docter!. throwing up blood is not good!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Did he drop his drill in your gob!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

First of all I would not drink milk when you are not feeling so well to begin with, that never seems to do any good for me, makes me woozy!. The blood in your vomit is most likely coming from your incisions the back of your gums, mixing with your bile as it passes through your mouth!. I would suck on a popsicle or sip some soda water, Sprite, 7up, something like that, if you can manage to let a saltine cracker or two melt in your mouth to mush(you probably can't chew too well right now) that might get something solid in your stomach and settle it a little!. I really suggest calling your dentist or doctor!. If the vomiting continues they can prescribed something for it!. We usually get something that is rubbed on the wrist for vomiting that just absorbs into the skin, it'll make you sleepy though so be careful!. I would really stay away from milk and dairy products when you are feeling not quite up to par to begin with, I know they never stay down with me in that instance!. Good luck sweety!Www@Answer-Health@Com
