Question: Dental Question About Tooth!?
i had a cavity filling done in december of 2006 and up till now it is still sensitive!.!. it doesn't hurt when i chew regular stuff like chips etc but its sensitive when i chew hot and cold foods on it!. what could be the problem!? and what should i do!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds to me just like sensitivity!. Sensitive teeth are caused by very tiny holes in the tooth enamel that expose the nerve of the tooth!. It would be worth visiting your dentist who will probably apply a little fluoride paste to the sensitive area!.
Or you could try using a toothpaste for sensitive teeth (sensodyne is good)!. Use it to brush your teeth normally, but also you can try squeezing a blob of it onto your finger and applying it directly to the area, and don't rinse!.

It COULD possibly be the start of decay underneath/around the existing filling as well, so please visit your dentist before it gets worse!. If you are nervous, tell the dental staff, they will make you feel as comfortable as possible :)
