Question: My gums bleed everytime I brush my teeth!. Is there anything I can do to stop this!?
Answers:
First you need to get a cleaning (deep cleaning its called Scaling and Root planning) after that you need to get perio maintenance!. Its not a good sign for you to bleed every time you brush that means your gums are not healthy!. You also need to brush every night that is the most important time of the day to brush!. Flossing will help alot if you cant do it during the day again I recommend to do it at night!.

See at night is when all the bacteria comes out and do there job so if you have any food in your mouth or sleep without brushing this is where it will take advantage and those cavities get you!.

Also start rinsing with warm water and salt this will help your start healing your gums!.!.!. do it every night until you can go and get a deep cleaning!.!.!.!. then follow instructions from your dentist after your cleaning visit!.

Bleeding gums are also a sign of boneloss in your gums this occurs when you dont brush properly ( you are supposed to brush in circle motions, soft circle motions, this way you will not hurt your gums) or floss properly buildup starts gathering around your teeth sometimes it will even look like if its part of your teeth!.!.!.!. so this build up which is bacteria will start eating your bone, then your teeth become loose, which also causes your gums to bleed!.

Could also be a sign of mal nutrition!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you have not been flossing regularly, it is probably a good idea to start doing so!. At first, your gums will probably bleed when you floss, but eventually they should become accustomed to the stimulation so that you can brush and floss your teeth without your gums bleeding!. An oral irrigator, such as Water-Pik(R) might be beneficial!. Your dentist should be able to give you even more suggestions!.

Another possible cause for your gums to bleed when you brush is if you scrub too hard or use too much pressure!. Make sure that you are not pressing down too hard with your toothbrush when you brush your teeth and don't grip your toothbrush too hard!. If you are currently using a manual toothbrush, an electronic toothbrush might be an improvement!. There are some electric toothbrushes that stop automatically if you use too much pressure!. And if you begin using any electric toothbrush, you will need to break the habit of scrubbing as you do with manual brushing as your toothbrush will be doing the scrubbing for you and all you will need to do is move the electric toothbrush gently over your teeth!. Some models have timers that pace your brushing so that you can brush each area of your mouth for the right amount of time!. I hope that helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
