Question: Having an upper Jaw (maxillofacial) surgery, what else to buy to prepare!?
My teeths are gonna be wired shut for a while, this is what I've prepared so far
Heres what's already on my list, ACT, small/soft toothbrushe for teeth cleaning, soy milk, protein powder, milk, potatoes/gravy, chicken broth, other broths for liquid foods, what else should I get for food when my teeth is wired shut!?
Benedryl, Tylenol, Motrin, what else is the strongest I can get for the pain and the nausiaWww@Answer-Health@Com

i just got jaw surgery done a few days ago!. ensure or any meal replacement works really good, also i got some yogurt and frozen fruit to make smoothies, ice cream to make milkshakes!. i find using a straw is hard so they gave me a syringe with a tube in the hospital to use!. the instant soup mixes are my favorites and tea also it soothes my throat from the tube we picked up some white tea with dried fruit and add a little honey it also helps to get rid the flem in the back of your throat in the morning!. your going to need ice packs and a heating pad for the swelling, the told me the best thing to get for ice packs is frozen peas and corn they are more plyable!. they gave me 800 mg ibuprofen and perkiset (sp) when i came out of the hospital!. the worst of the pain is the first night it was hard for me to sleep they gave me some Demerol !. oh and a dry erase board also helps so your not trying to talk!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
