Question: So I got a cavity filled today!.!.!. easy 10 points!!?
The dentist gave me the shot of nova-cane and it gave me an electric shock in my lip!. She said she got too close to my nerve and now every time I open my mouth I get the same shocking feeling!. Is this going to be permanent or will it go away!? PLEASE HELP I'm in sooo much pain!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Lingual Nerve!? are you kidding!.
The fact that every time you open you get a tingle is a very good sign!. The nerve was probably touched, but if you are feaaling a tingle it is not "LACERATED"!. all caps!. yeah right!. !. !.
Anyway nerve when damaged have an exceptional ability to repair themselves especially when they are not severed completely!.
By the way it is not the lingual nerve but the Inferior Alveolar Nerve, which would produce this symptom and is the target of Lower Molar injection!. Must have gone to a private school!.

I've had the dentist do that before too, and it will feel wierd for a while but it'll go away eventually!.
