I am getting braces in september and i would like some information on them!.Such as do they hurt and things about braces!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

when i first got braces i had to pull 2 teeth out because there wasnt enough room in my mouth and yes that did hurt well mostly all the shots
when they put you braces on!? no it doesnt hurt they just glue the bracets on and put a wire through them
your teeth do hurt for about 3 days after everytime they tighten them (change to a hicker wire) but you can just take some medicine for that
and yeah theres nothing to be scared of

take tylenol as soon as you get out of the orthodontists office!
eat things such as soup, pudding, mashed potatoes, and jell-o for a little bit!. you will most likely be able to make your mom get you quite a few milkshakes in the first week haha!.

but, if you do everything you are supposed to you will get them off on time and you will have straight, beautiful teeth!

okay so lets start on how they put them on!. they put something to keep your mouth open so your teeth are dry and they basically glue on the brackets and use a light to dry the glue!. they fit you for the metal bands that go on your molars and put them in!. then go on to the wire, they put it in each bracket and bend it as needed then cut the ends sticking out from metal bands on your molars!. then you can choose the color of your ligatures they are like little tiny rubber bands in different colors that hold the wire in place on each bracket!. the colors you can choose from can be different at each orthodontist but there usually is a big variety of colors to choose from!. the procedure of getting the braces isnt really painful, its a bit uncomfortable because you have to keep your mouth open that hole time and your mouth and lips get very dry!. there will be some pain after you get them on which might not kick in right away!. but its all worth it for a beautiful end result!. A BEAUTIFUL SMILE!!! depending on your case they may give you some pain killers enough for a couple of days!. they should give you a little goody bag when you leave that day!. it usually consist of orthodontic wax to place over brackets if it is irritating your lips, floss, floss theaders ( helps you get floss under the wire so you can floss regularly) , toothbrush and maybe a couple other things but again depends on the orthodontist!.good luck with your braces!Www@Answer-Health@Com
I had braces for three years, and I'm not going to lie they hurt for a while when you get them on, but it gets better and you get used to them!. Usually when you go to get them tightened or fixed for some reason it can start the pain back up!. I had a couple of problems with breaking the brackets off my teeth because I ate foods I wasn't supposed to with them on :P but it didn't hurt my teeth, they just had to glue on a new bracket!. Your orthodontist will probably tell you not to eat popcorn, and while it is a good idea not to do it, no one usually hurts anything by eating it anyway!. It is just a hassle to pick the kernels out for several hours!. Even though braces aren't the most fun things ever your orthodontist should hopefully let you pick what colors of bands you want on them!. (I always coordinated mine with the holidays!.) It probably won't be as bad as you think it will, and just think that when it's over you will have a beautiful flawless smile, plus it feels cool when you've had those brackets on for a while and then BAM! ive had braces for like 6 years
when you first get them they are sore for a few days then you get used to them you may gets some little cuts from the braces but if you put wax on for a few days it will get better
its okay to eat candy and chew gum becuase i do all the time

Get rubber bands, the tony ones, also, yes they hurt like crazy, but you'll get used to them, also you cant really talk the first week when you get them, you slur a lot!. But its fine after the first painful week, also when you get them tightened, they hurt!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
Im not going to lie they do hurt!.!.!.!.but what helps is if u take advil or something like that a hour or so before u go to help with the pain!. when they put the brackets on it isn't painfull!.!.!.they just glue those on but, let me warn u!.!.!.!.they stretch ur mouth opened for a while getting the brackets on all of ur teeth making sure they dry so I would warn u to take chapstick!.!.!.u'll need it!. When they but the wires on is when it hurts!.!.!.!.not actually they putting them one that's a breeze!.!.!.!.it's after when ur teeth are pulling bc of the wires!. deffinetly get wax everytime!.!.!.!.u never know when u'll need it!. That's just incase u have a wire poking ur mouth or something!. Stay away from things like laffy taffy, corn on the cob, ice, certain gums, starbursts, stuff like that bc u can pull a bracket off!. The best part is u can choose the colors of the bands!.!.!.!.When I had them I choose three or four different colors, or if I knew a holiday like christmas was coming up i'd get like red and green!.!.!.!.but it's really not too bad just after u get the wires tightened, then u might want to stick to jello and applesauce and things that are soft!.!.!.!.!.hope this helped!.!.!.!.don't worry they're not that bad!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
The first few days hurt like hell!. Take pain pills wherever you go!. You'll only be able to eat soft things, like pudding and apple sauce and mashed potatoes the first couple days!. After that, it's not bad at all!. I had them for 2 years and I'm so glad I did!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had braces and at first they make your mouth sore but then you get use to them!. But when they make you put rubber bands on them they are sore!. but you get use to them too! Don't be discouraged!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
