I had 2 lower wisdoms removed yesterday and I am in absolutely no pain? Is that !

Question: I had 2 lower wisdoms removed yesterday and I am in absolutely no pain!? Is that normal!?
I've looked around the web for similar experiences but I had my teeth out yesterday and as soon as I woke up I was confused since I didn't feel any pain!.

I figured it was the anestesia since it was a little numb but after it wore off, I still felt nothing except some jaw stiffness!.

I woke up this morming and I feel like I could go about my business normally!? Has anyone else had a similar experience!? I was expecting at least one day of serious discomfort but nada!? Is it safe to go to work, go for a walk, eat something a little bit more substantial!?!?

It really is great that you haven't experienced any post op pain, it isn't abnormal but it is unusual!.

The pain associated with an extraction really depends on the teeth and how they are situated in the bone and the difficulty extracting them!. If the tooth is fused or impacted, there may be difficulty removing it, thus causing post operative pain to develop!.

Occasionally a patient will have so much pain prior to an extraction, that the actual removal of the tooth or teeth is a relief!.

I wouldn't over do it today; short walk or light work without any heavy lifting or leaning over!. It's better to be safe for another day or so, rather than be sorry later that you didn't!.

Do follow your post op instruction to assure proper healing and reduce the chance of a post operative infection!. Rinsing well with the (really) warm salt water, several times a day and especially after eating, making sure to keep the extraction sites free of food debris; which can cause an infection to develop!.

I would continue taking the Advil to help with the inflammation and if an antibiotic was prescribed be sure to finish it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've heard of people recovering quickly, just make sure not to overdo it today and tomorrow!. Keep the advil on hand, just in case it suddenly flares up!.

When I had all four of mine done, it was done early in the morning and I was groggy all day (they knocked me out pretty good) and in pain for the next day or two!.

My best advice is to just take it easy! I would also watch what you're eating!.!. you don't want anything to get stuck back there!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've had a total of 5 teeth pulled over the years!. I've never experience pain either after the tooth was pulled!. You shouldn't!. It's safe to do all of the things you mentioned!. Just don't use a straw or spit for a while!. If you lose the blood clot too soon you could experience dry socket!. That's where the pain comes from!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

count your blessings! You still need to follow your dentists instructions though until you are fully healed! - no smoking, soft foods, soup, no carbonated drinks, no strenuous exercise, etc!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
