Receeding gums...help!!!?!

Question: Receeding gums!.!.!.help!!!!?
I have had a problem with gum recession for a few years now, and it is making me quite miserable looking at my gums every day to see if my teeth are longer - it may be all in my head!. My dentists says that my gums are a little inflamed but I haven't even got down to the root yet!.
despite this my teeth always look bigger every time I look, particularly my second and third teeth on the top set!.

What can people reccopmend, to help with gum recession!. I use an electric toothbrush, for only 2 mins twice a day, use mouthwash, and floss every other day (well I do most of the time)!. If there is a way to regrow them a little, or stimulate them that's be even better!.

Anything working for others!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
well!.!.!.this is most commonly caused by brushing too hard: so to stay away from this id recommend using a manual toothbrush (because then YOU decide exactly how much pressure you apply to your teeth) and of either soft or medium strength!.!.!.!.dont get anything harder!!!
if you get soft, it does not mean you have to brush harder! be gentle!.
i dont know why this causes gums to recede, but ive had some experience with this, although i BET mine looked weirder than yours!
my gums come down pretty low over all of my teeth!.!.!.!.except for just one of them which happens to be one of my 2 front teeth on my top row! it looked so out of place!.
my ortho referred me to a periodontist!. i went for a checkup there and they do have a procedure where they can cut away some of your gums to make the gumline even!.!.!.but as for "restoring" the gum in that section, i dont think they can do that!.
after that i got brace, then close to 2 yrs later i got them off and at that time my dentist told me about this brand new treatment they have for dealing with receeded gumlines!. i had this done and it the recovery time is so much less painless!.!.!.actually theres was NO pain and it was fast!.
im not sure if theyd have this avaliable where you live (my dentist travelled to somewhere in the states to be trained in how to use it) because its really new, and i cant remember the exact name of it but they use this "laser" which is an instrument that uses water at a highspeed to "cut' away some of your gums to make the gumline even!.!.!.this will change how much that one tooth of yours visually stands out!. again, sorry i cant remember the name of the procedure! but you can bring it up to your dentist the next time youre there!.
but its really amazing!.!.!.i didnt have any freezing (although you might need some!.!.!.all depends - just in case, you know!?) it took like 10-15 mins!. my gumline was perfect a week later!!!
other than that, sounds like you have a very good routine for keeping your mouth and teeth squeaky clean! good job and keep it up, just brush more gentlyWww@Answer-Health@Com

Do not waste any more time looking into the mirror!. Network and try to locate the best Periodontist (gum specialist) in your area!. Get references!. You need to visit with this specialist!. See more than one even!. Some dentists are too conservative at the patient's expense or they just do not want you to do to anyone else (-$)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you need to see a periodontist!. he/she can control the reason your gums are receding and place a graft over your exposed roots!. get a referral from your local dentist!.
