Question: 4 year old needing a root canal!?
Hi my son went to the dentist yesterday and he has a really deep cavity!. The dentist suggested a root canal!. Has anyone experienced this with their children or has even heard of this being done on a child!?
Before you all judge me about how a 4 year old can get such a deep cavity!.!.!.My son has juvenile diabetes and was diagnosed at around 2 years old!.!.!.so he has very sweet saliva and this causes his cavities!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi, there is nothing to worry!. The children as young as 4 years do get root canal treatment done!. It is quite common!. So donot worry and get the RCT done because though it is a baby tooth but still it is very important!. You have to get it saved!. Your dentist will do RCT of the tooth and then put a stainless steel crown on that!. For more information on children dentistry problems you can visit the following link

Is it not a baby tooth, why wouldn't they just pull it!? That makes much more sense than going through a root canal, I have heard they can be painful!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
