Dentists: How can you allow someone in agony to leave your office just because t!
Question: Dentists: How can you allow someone in agony to leave your office just because they are uninsured!?
I need a simple extraction!. I've been reading on how it's done!. Really I don't understand how as a human being you could let someone leave knowing they could ultimately die from infection if the tooth gets worse!.
I watched my daughters get removed (crowding), it was all of 5 minutes!. She has insurance through her father!.
I'm baffled that money means more than life!. I know everyone has bills to pay, but I cannot bear to see someone in horrible pain without trying to help!. Please explain why you are different from the rest of us!.
My daughters dream is to be a dentist!. I can guarantee you she will set aside time every month to help those stuck in the middle of to much money for help and to little for insurance!.
As for me I imagine I'll have my sister pull the tooth after I get completely wasted drunk!. Shouldn't take much since one mudslide leaves me unable to walk!.
Oh don't give me see a dentist, ask for discount, sliding pay scale, or a bill!. I've been trying that with every dentist in 3 states for the past 9 years!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

As someone who has worked in the dental field for 13yrs, I can sympathize with you Dentistry is very expensive!. Part of the problem though are people who can't afford the pricing, and ask for discounts, (and get them), and ask for payment plans, and then get the work done and not pay their bill!. Imagine that happening over and over again!. There is overhead and such that even though on that particular procedure, may not be high, but as a whole to run the entire office gets very costly, not to mention paying back their studetn loans!. Now, I do know that there are dentists out there that are money-hungry, not all, but I am sure plenty!. But in the long run they so have to protect their business, and unfortunately, good people do get caught in the crossfire!. Also some of these doctors do actually spend time donating services for those that are in need,but it usually is not in their own offices, on office time, that is usually done in clinics and the like!. If you really need free/inexpensive work done look for one of those types on clinics, although you dont know if you are getting a good doctor or not!. Just curious if you have a dental school near where you live!. They usually can do procedures for half the cost!. I live in TN and the most I have ever seen for a simple extraction is $100!. The problem is you also have to pay for an exam and x-ray!. I worked for a dentist that done the work then let you pay in payments!. In one year he had 70 thousand dollars worth of work he had not collected for!. That is why he came up with his policy no money up front no work!. This man is a good dentist and cares about people!. But he was loosing money by people who didn't pay there bills!. They are the ones that ruins it for every body!. A dentist can't refuse to see you just because you don't have insurance, it is against the law!. But they can refuse you service if you can't pay them!. I look at it this way!. Wilmar won't let you get a buggy full of groceries and walk out the door with a " I'll pay you later"!. Its sad but it just don't work like that!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
