Question: Post-op care for a labial frenectomy!?

I just a lower labial frenectomy done by laser!.!.!.and they never gave me a post-op care sheet!. I just have a gaping hole where they cut the frenum (not stitched, but not bleeding), and it didn't hurt too much until I ate some pasta with tomato sauce!. This was almost 2 hours ago and it still hurts like hell!! But I don't know if I can brush, what to swish with, etc!.!.!.what not to eat!.!.!.I'm totally freaked out, I'm going to take the pain medication they gave me but I really feel it just needs to be cleaned out!. I've been rinsing with water but it's only hurting worse and worse!.

You shouldn't eat anything but soft mild foods for a bit!. Rinse with warm salt water!. Then leave it alone!. Don't do anything to disturb the healing!. Try drinking warm not scalding tea!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
