Answers:
Baby teeth DO have roots!. They become resorbed when the permanent teeth start to erupt into the mouth!. That is the only way baby teeth roots will shorten!. Sometimes, the permanent teeth come up in an abnormal location and does not cause resorption of the baby tooth root!. In this case, you will need to have the tooth removed by a dentist!. Otherwise, the abnormal location of the permanent tooth may require braces to correct!. The "nerve" you see is most likely gum tissue!. You can wait for it to fall out by itself or you can help it out w/ a little yank or by tying a piece of floss around it!. If you feel that it will not come out easily, maybe you should consult a dentist to have it removed with some local anesthesia!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
