Question: I have a braces question!?
Hi, I got top braces on last Thursday, I get the bottom braces this Thursday!. When do I get elastics/rubber bands!? Are they the same thing!? I am having braces for 2 years, I'm fourteen and have bad over bite!. If I do everything the dentist says do you think I can get them off a few months early!? And are metal braces as bad as the ceramic!?

Well my orthodontist went over this with me!. But each person is different!. Usually about 4 months before you are scheduled to get your braces off they put on the rubber bands!. He likes to wait till the end of the treatment and then try to fix the overbite!. If you do everything your Ortho!. tells you to do their is a possibility you could get them off a couple of months earlyWww@Answer-Health@Com
i am getting my braces off in two weeks and i wore everything just as the orthodontist said and i am getting mine off about a month or so early!!! :))) rubber bands come when the orthodontist is perfecting your smile!! and yes, elastic and rubber bands are the same thing!
i am not sure what the difference in the types of braces are!.

i got my rubber bands a little after a year in
i don't have them anymore, i'm getting my braces off next month
and yes, probably, you will be able to get them off sooner if your teeth are clean because your teeth shift faster when they are free of plaque!. i'm getting mine off a couple of months early :]
and i've never had a cavity!. i'm 14!.

your not going to get your braces off earlier if that your going to get them off later thats what happen to me i still have them its been 2 years!.!.!.do get the rubber bands later braces arnt has bad has ceramic
