Question: How long do i have to have metal orthodontic bands in for!?

Last Friday i got the rest of my braces put on!. It was a shocker because the appt!. was just because i was in pain!. They put in Metal Bands!. Why did they put in metal bands for!? I have the brackets over the bands in the back!. And how long will the metal bands have to stay on for!? Do they stay on the whole time i have braces on!? Which for me will be close to 3 years or soWww@Answer-Health@Com
