Braces... and toothache...?!


Question: Braces!.!.!. and toothache!.!.!.!?
I just got my braces and I want to know if anyone out there brushes their teeth at school right after lunch because I have to!.
Before pulling my baby tooth out, (is it called extraction!?) My tooth right next to it hurts like hell!. Well not that bad!. I know getting braces hurts for a couple of days but the tooth next to it hurts even before i got braces!. Should it be like that!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

They orthodontist tells everyone they should be brushing their teeth after lunch but nobody does and you don't really need to!. Just stay away from sugary or sticky foods and you'll be fine!. As for your sore tooth, the only time I've ever heard about that is when the orthodontist makes you wear spacers to prepare your mouth for the braces!. Those hurt!. It also might be that the tooth that needs to be pulled is putting pressure on the other tooth!. Take some ibuprofen to take away the pain!. When you first get braces your teeth do hurt!. There is no way around it!. Just remember that the whole 2 or so years are not going to be like that!. You'll get completely used to them and eventually, you'll barely realize they are there!
