They just keep your teeth in line!. I'm wearing one now, mine's the clear plastic type but you can also get metal and plastic ones (clear is better)!. It doesn't really feel like anything, but kinda like a mouthguard for field hockey or something!. And it makes you talk a little weirdly but you get used to it!. They hold your teeth in place after your braces are removed!. Instead of actually attaching the metal to your teeth like braces, it just snaps into place over your teeth!. The most disgusting part is the impressions, when they take a mold of your teeth to measure for the retainers!. The stuff tastes like crap and gags you!. After that's all over, the retainers themselves aren't bad at all, you might just talk with a lisp when they're in, but nothing painful!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
I'm wearing invisalign retainers now!. They are very comfortable!. They just keep your teeth in place thats all!. They are clear and made out of plastic!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
