ok i gotta go the dentist later for a filling on my top tooth im scared whats the shot like whats the drilling like my brother said you do feel the drilling and the noise is scary please describe the pain and how dose a filling feel on the top tooth and do they do that numbing gel in britain so you dont feel the injection Www@Answer-Health@Com

When they do surgery on your teeth, before they even put any local anesthesia they first put Novocaine on your gums to numb it up so when they put the needle in you don't even feel it!.
You MUST remember that the feeling of what most people think they feel is pain is actually pressure on the tooth!.
Also you have to tell your dentist if you actually do feel pain but be sure to decipher if it is just pressure or real pain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well from my experience of having a drill on my top tooth is like!. Well, it depends, is it a cavity drilling or a root canal drilling!?
Cavity drilling, yes they would use the drilling tool to clean it out, the noise is like a tiny sharp noise!. but the needle, it depends on the cavity, if the tooth hurts alot, then they would numb it with a needle!. Yea the needle pinches you may tear a lil, but its worth it, cause the pain of the driller is a lot worse than the needle, but the needle is optional!. If the dentist see that they dont need the needle, like if its a small whole then they wont use it cause it wont hurt much, but if its a big whole, then it may be recommended!. The numbing gel, well if your real lucky then you would get it to not feel the needle, but most dentist dont carry that, well not in my town they dont!. But yea!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Oh, it is no big deal TRUST ME I've had plenty of fillings and the only bad thing about it is how many tubes they stick in your mouth!.!.!.it's kind of uncomfortable, but as for the shot and drilling and what not, PAINLESS!. Don't let them give you to much Novocaine though!!!!! (the shot) It takes a while to kick in and if you have them give you to much you will regret it!. That **** COMPLETELY numbs your gums cheeks etc!. and you will be slobbering all over the place and wont be able to keep liquid in your mouth for like an hour after you leave!! Also you can chew up the inside of your cheek without feeling a thing!! I had a filling on my top right and bottom left and had them give me a ton of Novocain and my face looked bizzare!! ha ha AND i couldent keep liquid in my mouth AT ALL it just spilled right out!! ha ha Www@Answer-Health@Com

It dose not hurt that much!. they usually put numbing creme on the spot and when they put the needle in it feels like {try this} pressing your fingernail hard into your gum!. that's it and it lasts for about 4 secs and then it is over!.
The drill dose make a nose but it is not at all scary =) and after the injection you can feel a THING =)

I'm the same as u i had a filling b4 when i was about 8 yrs old the drilling and they put some cement in ur tooth for the filling its not that pain when u get a good dentist ur mouth will be tired because it will be opened a long time but my dentist let me close my mouth for a while yeah and i think so they rub something so ur teeth will get numb it was a scary feeling i remembered that good luck on ur trip to the dentist Www@Answer-Health@Com

They'll swab an area in your mouth with a pain killer before they inject more pain killers into your mouth!. Don't worry, the shot doesn't hurt - all you will feel is a little pressure!.

Please dont be scared, i used to be scared of the dentist but now if i have to have any work done like fillings, i take my ipod in as the music relaxes me and then i dont hear the sound of the drilling! I'm 12, and I've had a needle in my gum and a tooth pulled out!. I was terrified at first but honestly, it's just uncomfortable and doesn't hurt a bit!. Don't think about it too much and you'll be fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
