Will dental cement temporarily help a gap in my wisdom tooth?!

Question: Will dental cement temporarily help a gap in my wisdom tooth!?
I can tell that the tooth is rotting, and am feeling pieces of tooth falling out!. I'm not in terrible pain, but it does get painful (about a 4 on a scale of 1-10 and it causes other teeth on that side of my mouth to be sensitive)!. I have an appointment for my wisdom teeth extraction, but it's not for another month!.

Since I can tell there is a gap in my tooth, I know that food and other bacteria are getting in!. I'm afraid it will cause an infection, so I make sure I rinse with mouthwash regularly!.

But will dental cement temporarily fill the gap until my appointment!? I don't want to have a terrible infection on my hands by the time I actually get them pulled!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

FYI!.
this gap will not cause a full-blown infection as you believe!. Just do your best to keep it all clean till the extraction!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!.!.!.you can go to the pharmacy and find a temporary filling material!. Be sure when you place it you bite down on it so that it is not high in the bite!. I would hurry to the dentist ASAP and get this tooth taken out or you can get a major infection that can affect your jaw too!. Not to mention the teeth immediately next to it!. You might want to find another dentist or oral surgeon who can get you in sooner!. Because these fillings are strictly temporary!. They can come out at any time and chip away!. Best wishes I hope you find help soon!. In the meantime go to your pharmacy right away and get some temporary filling and some oral gel with benzocaine (benzocaine being the key word here as it is an anesthetic agent) to help with the pain if you need it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
