Question: I went yesterday to the doctor for an abcessed tooth and!.!.!.!?
he gave me antibiotics and pain pills!. I have been taking both ,especially the antibiotics!. My question is --My jaw is still swollen alot,,,when will this go down!? i have been using a ice pack but IT is still very swollen!.It doesn't hurt like the madness that it did yesterday though!. : )Www@Answer-Health@Com

It will take a few days for the infection to clear up!. The site is still angry and fighting the infection!. Be sure you continue to take ALL the pills even after it clears up or it will return even worse and harder to respond to antibiotics!. Also, myself and many others find that simple ibuprofen helps the pain much, mucyh better than the wacked out nauseating pills the dentist prescribes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
the antibiotics should start to fight the infection with in 24 hours!. The swelling should go down very soon!. It really depends on how quickly your body tends to heal!. Unfortunately, there is no way to be able to tell you exactly when the swelling will go away!. :( Keep taking your antibiotics though so the infection won't come back!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
