HI, I was just wondering why people bit the inside of their mouth!. For me especially i get bumps inside of my mouth and it hurt when I eat!.Also i was wonder if there was a way to stop this and any precautionary measures!. Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is definatley NOT gingivitis!. gingivitis is caused from bacteria in your mouth making your gums red and swollen!. What you are explaining are aphthous ulcers (canker sores)!. It is not clear what causes these, but usually they will go away in 2 weeks!. If you bite your cheeks alot then maybe you need to go to the orthodontist and get your teeth looked at b!.c!. you might have some crooked teeth and your bite is off causing you to bite your cheeks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I think its just a habit for some people!.? I bite the inside of my cheek too!.? Im not sure what you can do to stop, maybe wear a nightgaurd or something!.? It is good to stop because you are putting pressure on your teeth thats not good for them!.? I do it subconciously though, so I doubt I can really control it!.? Good luck to you!Www@Answer-Health@Com

i had that b4!.!. and it sucks!.!. i had the same symptoms u had!.!.!. like ur mouth is soar, make is hard to eat solid food!. go to the emergency room, and get penicilin!.!. it makes it disappearWww@Answer-Health@Com
