Childs bottom lip attached?!

Question: Childs bottom lip attached!?
my daughter has complained that last two nights that it hurts when I brush her teeth, right at the front in the bottom

I looked last night but didn't see much so I figured she maybe had bit her lip or something

but tonight I looked closely and it looks like she has a web on her bottom lip like on the top lip!.!. which I don't really have and it looks like it's split a little bit, no blood but it looks cut!

is it normal to have a web on your bottom lip connecting it!?
I mean I have a tiny one way down under my teeth but hers is close to the teeth and large

I am planning on making a docs appoint but I was wondering if anyone had some insight!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
It is called the frenulum!. It is normal on both the upper and lower lips!. There could be a little swelling from a minor injury, stomatitis, etc!.

Try talking with the doctor on the phone!. That should answer your questions!. You can always make an appointment, if your doctor feels it could be more of a problem or it persists!.

I am an RN!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The area that you are talking about is known as a frenulum!. It is the piece of skin behind the teeth in the front and in front of them!. Some people have frenulum that are very prominent--while others are very small!.
Frenula of the mouth include under the tongue, the inside the upper lip, the and inside the lower lip!.
These can easily be torn by violent blows to the face or mouth!. She may have hit her mouth in some manner!.

An oral surgeon or periodontist are probably the best type of doctors to see her!. They will determine whether this will heal on it's own or requires some sort of surgical intervention!.
