Question: I haven't been wearing my rubber bands!!!?
ok, so i have braces, and i am supposed to be wearing my rubber bands, but i havent been!.!.!.!.i always forget!.!.!.!.!.haha i havent worn them for like 3 months!.!.!.!.!.!.!.
what are they supposed to do anyway!? is this really bad!?!? im wearing them now! lol

The rubber bands can do various things, it all depends on how you are being instructed to wear them!. The pressure that they put on your teeth moves them though, if you want a really basic explanation!. Ask your orthodontist and I'm sure they'll tell you exactly how they are making your teeth move/in what direction!. From what I can remember though, when I wore them it was to help adjust my bite!.

You should *always* take the orthodontist's instructions seriously!. If you don't, you're just going to be stuck wearing braces longer than you'd want to - and it'll continue to cost your parents money!. I wore braces for only 2 years because I did everything I was supposed to do - but if I hadn't, I might have had to wear them longer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Is it bad!?No, but it will take longer to get your braces off if you don't follow the orthodontist's instructions!. The rubber bands help pull your teeth into the right position!. The orthodontist can put the brackets and wires on your teeth, make the adjustments and so forth, but it is up to you to do the rubber bands!.If you want the braces off sooner than later, it would be a good idea to wear your rubber bands!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
