Do all silver fillings have mercury on them or only the real old ones?!

Question: Do all silver fillings have mercury on them or only the real old ones!?
I have White composite fillings in all my teeth for many years!. About 5 years ago I had 2 crowns and 2 inlays done!.

My dentist advised me that the composite fillings tend to get damage over the years and replacement more often and mines had been replaced several times and I would do better by getting a silver filling which last longer, and then got a crown on top!.

So I since I indeed was need to replace them every 4 to ten years and I am getting older (I am in my late 40s) I decided to hear his advice and put silver fillings for the first time in my life 5 years ago!.

Now there is all this buz about the mercury and so forth!.

Is there any difference beyween the old and new ones!? having the crowns replaced is quite expensive and I really do not wish to go through that again!.

I hate going to the dentist although I always have taken good care of my teeth!. I was prone to cavities all my life and started having trhem fix since I was 8!.!.!.!.

Any advice or information would be much appreciated!.

BTW: I do not suffer from anxiety or depression or any of that stuff!. I have my ups and downs as part of life, but I guess I am pretty normal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There is no risk with amalgams, and apart from the unfortunate colour, it is an extremely robust, inexpensive, and useful material!. Amalgam has been around since the 1880s, whilst composite has only been around 25-30 years!. The actual composition of amalgam hasn't significantly changed within the past 50 years!.
However, the early composites were quite terrible as the science behind it wasn't understood!. The biggest problem with composites is the shrinkage they undergo when setting!. This can lead to post-op sensitivity or new decay!. The manufacturers are continually trying to improve composites even now!. The latest composites (e!.g!. Silorane - 3M) has got shrinkage down to 1%, and other physical characteristics are improving!.
But under a crown, I would only want amalgam!. In the right situation, a crown could last forever, and I wouldn't trust a potentially troublesome material like composite as a base for a crown!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

They all have mercury and it really is pretty bad stuff!. In Canada and Europe they don't even use the silver ones anymore because the government then has to pay for all the other health issues they cause!.
Do some research and decide if it is worth it to you to have them removed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

MARSIKA,
absolutely every silver filling, amalgam, always has mercury in it mixed with various metals, mainly lead!.
Most people around 97% have no problem with it, A properly done silver fillimg can last for decades!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

mercury in the silver filligs is in the amalgamated form meaning it combines with silver to make amalgam!. it is not harmful!. only mercury vapours ,when it is being used and the excess mercury if not disposed off properly can be harmful!. so just relax!. there is no need to get the filling changed just because of mercury thing!.For more information on mercury toxicity you can visit www!.identalhub!.com!.they really have a good article on this!. they have the facility of free dental consultation by a dentistWww@Answer-Health@Com

Don't worry at all, just do it!!

There is absolutely nothing to fear, having an amalgam filling--new or old!. It is true that mercury has some problems registered, however, it is quite theoretical and NOTHING dangerous could be proved within all these years, even if you have 20 fillings for more than 20 years!.
Do you really think people in the ADA ( American Dental Association) would ever risk the health of people and allow something dangerous to be used and applied in the dental praxis !?!
So, Don't worry and don't pay, when you can avoid that!Www@Answer-Health@Com
