Question: Is there any other way to deal with this other then my teeth being pulled out (Dental abscess)!?
I had a dental abscess on Friday, and started taking anti biotics on Saturday morning!. Sunday morning I woke up and the abscess naturally drained itself through a hole!. The intense pain decreased significantly!. However, I've read that the cause of a dental abscess is a dead tooth, in which case it needs to be 'extracted!.' I'm only 19 and I don't want any of my teeth to be pulled!. Is there no other way!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Firstly, it would depend if the abscess is coming from decay in the tooth!. You don't say where the abscess appeared, but it could alternatively be a gum abscess associated with a "wisdom" tooth!. It would be wise to go to a dentist ASAP!.
If it is coming from decay in a tooth, then you may be able to save the tooth with Root Canal Therapy!. This is where the dead tissue in the tooth is removed, cleansed, and then an inert filling placed in the canals!. Usually takes 3-4 appointments!.
You also need to be sure that after the RCT you still have enough strength in the tooth to be able to prevent fractures!. Often this means that a crown is placed at the end of the RCT to bind the tooth together!. This is a factor the dentist should advise you (and quote costs) before starting an RCT!.
Sometimes there is so much decay that doing an RCT would be a waste of time, and extraction is the only option!.
Get to a dentist!. Don't wait until it swells up again!. Antibiotics lose effectiveness the more you use them, and eventually they won't work at all, and then you'd be in real trouble!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had one and my tooth wasn't pulled!. I have a crown, but it wasn't pulled out!. Keep taking the anti-biotics and see what your dentist says when you go in for a check-up!. You're looking at probably a root canal at a minimum!.!.!.but I'm just going on personal experience!. Trust the dentist and if you don't get a second opinion!. possibly a root canal!. If the tooth is a back tooth!.!.!.let it get pulled!. If not ask your dentist what you can do to save it!. It may be cheaper to pull than to save!.!.!.it's your decision!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
