How long does in take for the gaps to close after a tooth extraction?!

Question: How long does in take for the gaps to close after a tooth extraction!?
ok so before i got braces i had 2 teeth removed!. it was the ones after the canines, so they have to pull the 3 teeth in front of each extraction back!. i had my braces for about 1 year and 3 months before they but the chains on (the rubber bands that close the gaps) until then my teeth moved slowly making the gaps worse!. its been about 3 months since i got the chains and i haven't seen much improvement!. in fact the gaps look worse because the canines are moving much faster then the other teeth!. how long is it gonna take for them to finish closing!? im really self conscious because i have clear braces and sometimes the gaps are easier to notice then the braces are and im afraid of what people (mainly guys) will think!. please help with any information you have!.

p!.s im not sure if this is important but they said i would have braces for about 2 years Www@Answer-Health@Com

Okay, I'm going to try to answer this best way that I can!. Normally, when they extract a premolar it is because you don't have enough room in your mouth to make things beautiful and fit everything in!. It's an extremely common procedure!. Your canines don't have as far to go as the rest of the teeth, they are also much closer to their final spot and you'll notice that your front teeth look amazing and you'll still have those gaps!. Remember, that those back molars have been in place a long time and by moving them all forward your orthodontist is going against nature!. The easiest teeth to move will move first but the back ones won't move as fast because of how much more difficult they are to move!. You also won't notice them moving as much as your front teeth because your front teeth are much more prominent!. The same goes for how people will see you and if guys will think they look funny!. They won't!. They really probably won't even notice that much!. And if they do, it's so common that you're definitely not the only one!. Watch the Disney channel, you can see that some of them are missing those teeth too! People on the streets will have the same thing!. You're not the only one!. Depending on your mouth it might take a couple of months more or longer to finally get the gaps closed!. Things in your mouth will move and shift trying to even themselves out, but eventually everything will close!. I'd say three months but each mouth is different, and then it will be longer to get everything finalized!. Good luck and hope it helps!.

P!.S!. Just because your orthodontist says it will take two years doesn't mean that it will!. Sometimes it doesn't take as long but most times it takes longer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Give it a max of about 6 months to a year!. I had my wisdom teeth out and they took awhile to heal!. You have to remember- these are very deep cuts because your roots go down into your jaw (mandible)!. Don't poke at them with your tongue or anything foreign or it will slow down healing time!. Goodluck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can't rush to close up space!. Your orthodontist is the person to ask!. If you rush closing the space or moving your teeth, you may develop root resorption!. Talk to your orthodontist!. Good LuckWww@Answer-Health@Com

some dentist work diferently so it all depends really but usually approx 2 yrs from start to finish the brace should start to close the gap in time each visit equals another adjustment until the job is completeWww@Answer-Health@Com
