Wisdom teeth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?!
Question: Wisdom teeth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
I'm 17 and my lower wisdom teeth might be coming in!. My gum is sore if i press on it to much or if i chew food on it!. I don't think there's any swelling!. I feel on and off twinges of tenderness/aching feeling, it is not constant!. I think i can see some white under my gums and when i feel my gums i can feel the tooth under there!. Do you think my wisdom teen are coming in!? My mom doesn't want to take me to the dentist to get an x-ray!. How do i convince her i need to get one!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ok with all respect to others opinions, scientists and dentists, to whom I belong, would never try to take a wisdom tooth out, IF it could stay intact !
An x-ray MUST be done to get sure, the wisdom tooth is coming up (because I am sure it does) correctly and would never affect neighboring teeth!.
If it is coming up without problem, it should stay there and not be extracted; i!.e!. : removed
Otherwise, yes it must be taken out
Thus as a periodontist I advised your mom to take you to your dentist to have the x-ray done to you

It probably is your wisdom teeth!. The tenderness feeling is probably because the wisdom teeth have already broken through the gums!. You should tell your mom to take you to the dentist because it most likely is your wisdom teeth if all of your other teeth have come in!. You should also try to get an appointment as soon as you can because it is harder for the dentist to take them out the more they come in, and it will be more painful and you will have more swelling the longer you wait, and that is no fun!. :( I got my wisdom teeth out this summer when I was 14 years old, and I got them out before they started to come in!. So it's probably best to get them out now, just explain that your mouth hurts and you NEED to go to the dentist!.

Well I think it is coming out!.!.!.!. But you know what NO one in my family took their wisdom teeth out!. Neither did I (I am 21) and it all went ok!. I still have the wisdom teeth and it is like another teeth!.!.!.!. First it might hurt, but it won't be a problem!.
But to be safe, you can take an x-ray!.
