ok, so i had something called a pulpotomy in my tooth about a month or a month and a half ago!. it was slightly decayed i think so they did a pulpotomy, which is where they take out the pulp of the tooth!. there was lots of bleeding, so the dentist, instead of pulling the wiggly tooth, just put a bunch of plaster or what every they use in fillings!. so now my tooth is all blackish grayish, instead of one black hole, because it mixed with the blood!. but that is not my problem!. my problem is that the tooth smells REALLY bad!. like if i put my finger around it, my finger smells DISGUSTING!. OH MY GOSH, this is so embarrassing to talk about, but it is way better than talking about it to my dentist!. :) so is there anything i can do, other than going to my dentist!. oh and if i didnt mention it, the tooth is pretty wiggly, but not wiggly enough to come out yet!. ive been trying to pull it out, but its just not ready!. EEW

Typically, when a tooth is loose - my patients do not chew on that side and most often avoid properly brushing and cleaning that area!. Food debris and bacterial colonies collect there and with the additional problem of having had the pulpotomy there is the possibility that you have a temporary filling in the tooth and the tooth is decayed!. All those things can cause the smell and probably a bad taste!. With an extra soft brush - brush that area (all areas of your mouth) thoroughly and gently!. Swish with a diluted Listerine mouthwash and maybe try eating raw carrots or apples on that tooth to further loosen it!. If you are really bothered by it - contact your Dentist!.

You need to call your dentist!. I have worked in a dental office for 8 yrs and really if you came in I wouldn't bat an eye at it!. It would not bother me, it isn't disgusting, well it may be to anyone else other than a dental proffesional!.!.!.!.Really not a big deal, I can't stress it enough!. It sounds like there could be some infection!. They may need to remove it or atleast get you on an antibiotic!. I promise if you go in they will not be grossed out!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

but keep a on the go mouth wash with you
use it evry 30 minutes
then when at home use ur mouth wash every hour and brush every 30 min

okay!. If your tooth was slightly decayed then you have to have it pulled out anyways!. your dentist is the only one who can help you!. theres no other way!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
