Question: Need more answers! Can you answer my question about Invisalign!?
I go in today to get impressions made for Invisalign braces!. I have been so excited and waited so long to be able to get my teeth done!. But I mentioned it to my brother he told me about a girl at work who said they hurt so much all the time!. He said the bad thing is that you have to take them out to eat and stuff so putting them in each time really hurts!. Is this chick just blowing it all out of proportion or does it really hurt that bad!? My teeth aren't that bad and I plan to follow every rule to a T if that helps!. Please let me know if there is nothing to worry about or to brace myself (no pun intended) for pain and suffering for the next year!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

With invisalign there are no braces put on its just trays you wear and yes you do take them out to eat and brush and it may cause soreness!. The trays are held on with "attachments" which are lil bumps of glue the dr or assistant will place on different teeth every couple of trays and it makes it harder to get the tray on and off but they are needed in most cases because the attachments are also used to rotate certain teeth!. When you take you trays on and off it will be snug for the first couple days and it will cause pressure that might be one of the things that bugged the girl!. But yea follow all directions and it will be over before you know it!. Just a fyi if you take the trays out to eat, brush, etc!.!.!.put them in the case dont leave them on a tray or wrapped in a napkin they are lost this way all the time!. and if your orthodontist allows it keep your tray!.!.!.that way if you loose one you can always go back to the last tray so you dont loose too much treatment time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
