Question: What will happen if you dont go to the dentist for a really long time!?
I havent been to the dentist in 5 years!. mainly cause I been lazy!.!. nothing is wrong yet with my teeth!. they seem fine!.!. should I go soon!.!. I think that I should before they rot!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It depends on how old you are, but if you are over the age of 18 you should get in very soon!. Once you get older your teeth are harder to clean and more plaque builds up as a result!. Over long periods of time hardened plaque called calculus builds up and its very hard to get off so once your go in to get your teeth cleaned afterwards they will be very sore!.
The main thing is flossing once and brushing twice a day to keep your teeth nice and bright and your gums healthy!. If you have any bleeding that means to you to floss more and you have gingivitis which is the beginning stages of periodontal or gum disease and you don't want that!!
Go to the dentist and save yourself some trouble in the long run!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes - 5 years is a long time - however I never beat my patients for staying away - I just try to help them get back on track and let them know how important their teeth are and how important for your overall health it is to have a healthy mouth!. You could have undetected decay and/or periodontal disease!. By the time something hurts in your mouth - it is more than a small problem - which is why so many people wait unnecessarily to get dental care!.
