Friday I got a baby tooth in the back of my mouth that was infected and had an abscess under it pulled that had no adult tooth under it I'm 16 so i should have already come out, but anyways the blood clot that was in place of the tooth fell out tonight (I guess I just messed with it with my tongue) and I'm scared I will get dry socket!. Will another clot take it's place!? What will happen!?!? Please help!. Thanks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes another clot will form!. If you do get in intense pain in that area then that is when you know you have a dry socket!. Other ways clots come out are due to sucking actions like drinking through a straw or smoking and excessive spitting!. I suggest you do warm salt water rinses and let the solution just sit in your mouth (do not swish) by leaning your head from side to side!.!.!.then lean over the sink and open your mouth and just let the solution run out!. Do not spit it out!. Do this for a few days and you should be fine!. If you do get in intense pain!.!.!.go back to the dentist that extracted the tooth and he can treat the socket with a medication (clove oil) and special gauze!. you should not worry!. By this time the healing process has started!.so there is very few chaces of getting the dry socket!. just keep the area clean and do warm saline rinses 2 to 3 times a day!. it will really help!. if the bleeding starts again or you have pain then you should visit your dentist!.
